Ghosts of Encounters demonstrates how various animals have involved themselves in mesquite’s life. However fleeting or enduring the encounters were, it is impossible to disentangle their relation to mesquite.

Thought of as a “story map”, the print comes with a key (5.5” x 12”) to guide the experience of the artwork and to provide additional context to the arts-based research process for How to Love a Mesquite: Towards Multispecies Collaboration for the Upper Chihuahuan Desert..
